Those who pay tithing
are blessed with God's love,
money can cause greed
and may cause some to shove.
We are stealing from God
when we don't pay our dues,
if we hold back our dollars
that's our job to choose.
We are helped in ways
when it's put in God's hands,
ten percent of our earnings
are His as it stands.
If we choose God first
and give Him what we owe,
we will be blessed
in a way that will show.
For everyone it's different
when we pay our share,
a tithing is important
and the blessings are fair.
May those who owe God
including those who are poor,
pay Him a full tithing
and please don't ignore.
For God in His mercy
loves all with much care,
and blesses us well
for the tithing we share.
Author notes
Tithing is what we call money paid to the church or to God in my religion "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints." It is probably called something else in other religions.

Well said, most truly, good poetess. Reminds me that I need to write down that $50 I earned last week.

Your words are so true as all would know if they read their Bible. I liked this. Thank you for entering it. Shancy.
