Bitter beads of brew
drip within my soul
as this wounded heart seeths
to wit the contemptible gall
of a racist breed
psycho demented desires of
superiority that bleed
HIV venoms of infestation
alienating an entire race
from the mainstream of reality
darkened in their insanity
like vampires hunting fresh prey
my knuckles crackle
as I ponder in depths of disgust
understanding the eternal cycle
of damage that bias greed and hatred
has imprinted like a bizarre tattoo
on the petals of innocent hearts
for when they could've issued compassion
poison was their daily delight

quite scornful and even pitiful too... but i would have much prefered to have seen this piece set to the left of the page and maybe a slight adjustment with some of the line breaks which are a little awkward, but other than that, i did like the piece as a whole
well done and many thanks for entering

I can picture this so clearly in my mind where words come alive. It holds so much emotion that it
touches the reader. Liked this write..good luck in

This is so strong - especially 'like a bizarre tattoo
on the petals of innocent hearts'
The AIDS epidemic has trashed Africa in ways we are yet to deal with - a whole generation gone, and no real steps taken yet to halt the spread.
Yet the story is the same in every country. Faced like this with man's inhumanity to man, it is difficult to explain, and to bear.
