Pale skin and strawberry lips,
look down at the Golden carriage of chastity
ripping apart the hymen of expectations.
Pearls flick against her corseted breasts
and haunted humble pie
breaking hearts in her husband's eyes
with the pregnant pauses
locking the air between them.
Champagne and Poker chips
made of sea shells and oak lined decadence.
The Princess of alliance
drowned in silk shimmered umbrellas
and
rising
bread
prices.
The execution of towered cakes
like a wonderland tea party
smashed in the middle
by the polite thumb of regime
and the stabbing finger of revolution.
The Strawberry Pearls
she had 'come so accustomed to
were the noose around her neck
as the fires lapped Versailles
and melted her ruby slippers
into pools of blood.
Author notes
I love Marie Antoinette, and got really excited about this so wrote away BUT failed to read the bit that you didn't want two of each so I haven't looked yet but hope there isn't one or if there is it isn't a problem. If it is sorry about that!

I LOVE Marie Antoinette too! I wanted to be her for a time period and the movie about her is just stunning.
You always amaze me. This piece was so grand and shimmery. It was like desserts and glitter sprinkled with blood and the chandler in the room is shattered.
"The execution of towered cakes
like a wonderland tea party"
-I loved those two lines. They were like royalty, sparkling and sinister.
this was really beautiful my dear.
