Random Angels

This feeling I can't explain.
It comes on so quickly.
Like a tidal wave of emotion.
That makes my skin prickly.

And what is it I'm talking about?
Well the only thing I could.
It's randomeness my friends.
And it feels so good.

To just lose yourself in the moment.
Giggling and grinning.
Afterall how can time keep going,
if the world stops spinning?

Most people think they are random.
But I have something to tell you.
Those people only pretend.
They don't have a clue.

The feeling of true randomness.
Can come from just hanging with your friend.
But unlike fake randomness.
True stuff never ends.

You'll always remember those moments.
As inside jokes or phrases.
You'll always think back and smile.
Randomness amazes.

I know some random people.
And my life with them is great.
Full of wonder and laughter.
But never, ever, hate.

It's those random people you should love.
For all they are worth.
'Cause they're from heaven above.
Angels sent to earth.

Sent to bring us happiness.
In a bitter day.
It's those random angels.
That make everything okay.

    Hi. Thanks for entering my contest and good luck! I’ve decided to use a slightly edited version of my friend Arkbear’s grading scoreboard to help me judge this contest. I hope he doesn’t mind. It’ll aid me in organizing my thoughts and judging fairly versus randomly. I hope you enjoy it and find it helpful. Writers with the highest possible points out of 80 will obviously win

    Title Appeal: 9.30 – Cute title befitting for you upbeat piece. I probably would click on this, despite it not being my typical genre of preference.
    Poem Flow: 8.85 – The periods at every line made this read really choppy instead of smoothly, and some of your lines were a little too long to fit the rest of your poem.
    Depth: 9.5 – You really got into this and it showed! Nice going.
    Emotional Impact: 8.5 – Unfortunately, I just didn’t connect on a deep level with your words.
    Spelling and Grammar: 9.55 – Second stanza, “randomeness” should be spelled “randomness”. The “it’s” before that word should be “its”.
    Punctuation and Caps: 7 – Your end line punctuation, except for one question mark, is all periods. You’re missing many end line commas, and the start words after the commas shouldn’t be capped.
    Presentation: 9.5 – Stanzas are broken up nicely.
    Personal Appeal: 8.25 – Nice job!

    I completely agree with this poem;

    Although the rhyme was forced in some places, the idea and theme behind this poem was so likeable!

    Particularly liked,

    "You'll always remember those moments.
    As inside jokes or phrases.
    You'll always think back and smile.
    Randomness amazes."

    Because, myself & my friends can be so random together, but always have good times to look back on; i could really identify with this poem!

    ahh the company of close friends. i too have friends that i have known forever, there are 2 sisters that i have known since kindgergarten and i still keep in touch with them.. it is wonderful...

    i love bunnys i love this poem i know who one random angel is its me i look back and see my friends and family from when i was young and say things that are out of the blue you have a great poem here i loved the whole thing there is nothing i would ever change about this poem my favorite paragraph in this poem is when you say This feeling I can't explain.
