Without Your Light

Without Your light
I’m walking blind,
darkness has me stumble;
I can’t find The Way

Without Your light
I see myself through a glass darkly
Not knowing self
how can I know another?

Without Your light
the world is mere confusion;
traveling in illusion brings dismay,
my days lived in despair

Without Your light
I live in night, though seeing the sun;
I see no effect of its ray,
living my day without direction

Without Your light
there’s no distinction
between right and wrong;
no reason in my song without Your light

Author notes

Joh 1:4 In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 8:12 Then spake Yahshua again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Joh 12:35 Then Yahshua said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. {darkly: Gr. in a riddle}

    Excellent !

    This says it all; for without God's Light, indeed, there is no distinction between right and wrong. This reminds me of "where there is darkness, there is an absence of light. Light can be measured, but darkness cannot." Light reveals wickedness hiding in the darkness.

    This is a great poem, dear Sis, and definitely a winner!
