I stare into the mirror,
the reflections that looks back isnt me.
She has too much makeup, and a french whore look.
A tear rolls down my check.
A trail of truth stays where the tear once made its path.
More and more fall, mascara and eyeliner everywhere.
Coverup is ruined.
Little by little, I'm getting my old face back.
Skin surfaces, comes up for air.
All of my fake self, and old life crumbling before my eyes.
I smile, and I know..I cant make it.

I can relate right now to this so much. I feel like the person I used to be- the girl I want to be is standing continents away from who I become. It feels so fake- putting on a smile every day and becoming who people expect and who society wants to see. Parts of me still come through- but barely strangled.
Anyway- this is really good. I love the imagery and its even more powerful because I feel like this is how I feel.
I loved this line though!
A trail of truth stays where the tear once made its path.
That is so beautiful and so poignant to me.
