Batman’s Cat
Miss Julie most purrrfectly played her
Till Eartha sublimely portrayed her.
A felonious Cat,
She bedeviled the Bat
Who could’ve, but never once laid her.
Cat Fancier
I’m watching the cat-suited stripper
Undressing one zipper by zipper
Until all that is left
Is a swatch on her cleft
That’s holding the dollars I tip her.
Kansas Cougar
She went by the name of Miss Kitty
And ran a saloon in Dodge City.
She was sexy of voice
With a figure quite choice
But Matt never glanced at her titty.
Karaoke Kat
When cats in the alleys are yowlin’,
Romance is their reason for prowlin’.
It is like when I sing
To a pretty young thing,
Except it’s a bar where I’m howlin’.
Pretty Kitty
A lady was dressed as a kitten
In garb most delightfully fittin’.
With each flick of her tail
Like a tom I would wail
And dream about [pettin’] the kitten!
Author notes
Batman's Cat: Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt each defined the role of Cat Woman for the Batman TV series in splendid fashion. Lee Meriwether did a fine job as well, but the other two ladies became cultural icons for their portrayals.
Kansas Cougar: The long running TV series Gunsmoke set in Dodge City, Kansas, featured the seemingly asexual Marshal Matt Dillon for whom the voluptuous Long Branch saloon owner Kitty Russell pined for over 20 years with no sign that Matt ever thought of her as more than just a very good friend. (A cougar is a beautiful, passionate 40 something woman who's looking for love or something like it.)

I suppose there is something wrong with me, but rhyming pieces are my favorite, and this was very good! I loved how it kept the tempo as I read it, and the subject was terribly entertaining as well! Thank you for sharing.

You missed out a cartoon series called "the pussy cats" about an all female pop group who dressed in cat suits, boy could the artist of that series draw!!!

Great rhyming lovely limericks, superb all round.

I remember a cartoon series called "Josie and the Pussy Cats" which I believe was based on a comic book. I think there was also a movie in the 90's based on the cartoon and comics. If this is the one to which you refer, I have to agree that the young ladies as drawn were quite fetching in their cat suits!
