Comfort In The Swell

I think I discovered the world in his vibrant blue eyes.
The simple bat of an eyelash sends ocean waves crashing down over my frail body, stealing my breath away in the freezing salt water.
His soft and callused fingers push roughly into my hips as if trying to peel away the flesh to see the truths that hide beneath my bones.
My body surrenders under the subtle shivers of his as flawless lips devour my vanilla neck with reckless abandon.
Strong arms pull me into his chest and I slip past the long red scar into his swollen heart.
There I can finally, comfortably dissolve with each beat taking me down, holding me up, and blowing me away.

Author notes

This is for Jeff. Hes the greatest thing that's ever managed to stumble into my life. To explain alot of the poem; He has the brightest blue eyes thats ever been, with the perfect patterns to look like the waves crashing on the beach. We both have massive health problems, mine are mostly to do with my muscles and insides, and he has a leak in his heart thats caused it to grow too big, and he had to have heart surgery last year.
Hope that clears a bit up.
