Paradigm Eyes

Missing image

Oh how I think I can see, but that is not true.
I'm really blind to realities with paradigm eyes of blue.
It's what I cannot see because of my vision that I'm shattered,
this is why I've been blind to what in life truly has mattered.

Oh God please forgive my limited mental visions,
for because of this I've made some really poor decisions.
Clarity of the reality of what is seen and what is not seen,
comes from the one who knows he's blind, and it's You he must lean.

So blind I am without your spirit dwelling deep within me,
for when I'm surrendered to you only then can I truly see.
Please show me whole truths that are rooted deep within
so that I can have a life of seeing helping others life's begin.

Bringing others to the freedom that comes only through You.
Lord my God how grateful I am for showing me these truths too.
In and of my own self I am blind to life's spiritual realities,
because of my paradigm eyes this brings me much calamities.

Now I know today that without you showing me the way
I am blind in so many different parts of my life I go astray.
Oh God how I love you and you help me so I can really see,
loosing those paradigm eyes has always set me even more free.

We all suffer from paradigm eyes, but with God withing I believe we shed some of our blindness so then we can truly see, don't you believe this too?

    Very nice

Our God is the light of truth, and HE does open the eyes of those who seek HIS truth.

Oh Kelle this is brilliant and one of my favorite writes of yours!!!! I love how you tell us that paradigm eyes will keep us from seeing the whole vision God has for us. I have been blinded myself so many times in my life and I thank the Lord He has revealed His Truth to me!!!

A very beautiful poem and a wonderful title and background too~

hugs and a bunch of love

No matter how much we learn, it is just a bigger box. Be careful, paradigmn eyes may fall quickly into popular usage.
Knowing we are limited, allows us to be forgiving and open an thankful for what God provides.

May your day be blessed and your gifts multiply.

    Love,
    Tom B.

  • Ah..the gratefulness for HIM is most humble sentiment by the honest heart..this is very wise and very much inspiring work ..well done...

  • Beautiful kelli. You are very talented and you hold so much beauty inside. Onlookers see it and love you for it but you have had trouble seeing it yourself. Now your eyes are opening and you are begining to see the soul that is so precious inside of you. Bless you honey. This is a great poem

    Fantastic

This poem was worth the wait while you held a reserved spot in the contest. It is beautiful, Marie! And, we all have suffered paradigm eyes; that is, until we finally realized that all we had to do was to recognize and repent of our sins, then "go and sin no more." Now we can ask our Lord for His Truths and none of man's. The blindness is removed. What an awesome day that is and could be for everyone.

I recall the day I went to the Lord seeking His Truths and only His. It began an amazing 30+ years of being taught by the Holy Spirit. I remember Him instructing that I must forget everything I had been taught by man. That seemed quite logical to me, so I did it. And, I've no reason to look back, for this journey continues and is awe inspiring.

Best wishes in the contest! Luv and hugs, BonnieQ

Okay, gal, get busy! After all, "reserved" doesn't tell us a whole lot. Well, I suppose it does reveal that wickedness is reserved for fire and brimstone. I'll check back for the finished product!

    Luv ya, SisBon
