You step inside an small, empty room
it goes up, it goes down
it got stuck
between the 4th and 5th floor(s)
panic because you're alone
panic because no one can help you...yet
the waiting game begins
you start to hyperventilate
because you might be stuck forever
stuck inside of this eclectic sarcophagus
as the four walls close in
the air is growing thicker
it's getting harder to breath
sweet oxygen can't fill your lungs
you choke and sputter
breathing hard and heavy
like you just ran a marathon
so you crawl inside yourself
cowering in the left corner
holding your knees up to your chest
and you start rocking back and forth
trying to think about anything
anything that can distract you
from the fact that the air just won't flow in
you..you.. can't...b-breath
it feels like someone is holding a pillow over your face
smothering the life out of you
one
excruciating
minute
at
a
time
