Starting life anew
No longer in pain
I won't do it again
The hell you've caused
The time I've lost
Thinking of you
Of the things you do
We never were good
But I did what I could
So now I move on
My love for you, gone
~~~
I've found someone new
To replace the you
The you that I knew
The things that you'd do
~~~
You tried to break me
From what I was
You tried to make me
Change my cause
But you failed epically
And now I'm gone
I'm better than you
Because now I've moved on
Crawl back if you want
But it won't do any good
So just turn away from me
Like you know you should
~~~
I've found someone new
To replace the you
The you that I knew
The things that you'd do
~~~
You called me a liar
You put me to trial
I walked through your phyre
And you're in denial
Delusions confuse you
Bound by insanity
And now I refuse you
No more calamity
You wanted devotion
You wanted power
Meanwhile my emotions
You would devour
~~~
I'm free of you now
Wanted again
I don't care how
my new life begins
You stabbed me back then
But I'm removing the knife
Now you wonder when
You can have a new life
But for you it won't come
Salvation is lost
And your strength is gone
Leaving a heart of frost
~~~
I've found someone new
To replace the you
The you that I knew
The things that You'd do
Author notes
(1) A shoulder of frost: I'm sure everyone's heard of giving or recieving the cold shoulder. That's what I was making refference to here.
The last in a series of seven poems that chronicle the process of a massive break-up that I went through. Obviously in this one I've gotten over the woman and moved on, finding someone new.
Again, if you like what you're reading just do me a favor and tell a friend.

all the break ups you write about. if they end up coming back its only to try salvaging any friend ship that their once was. and as you said some time ago. everyone needs a friend.

ooh. that bites. in an amazing way. I love it! -
Looking back at all the things I've been through, I understand the feelings behind these words. I think I do, at least. Losers always win, because the things that we lose are more often than not worth losing... I'm glad I'm a loser
I agree with Sunshine...No fair!!! XD
Always,
