A walk to self discovery
became a life changing experience
I claimed hope's recovery
but there was no turning back
People of all sorts
crossed paths with my heart
Some came with support
others with greed
I traded stories for a ride
riddles for food
though I never ripped a man of his pride
because the knowledge was given by God
There was a man who healed me, when I was down
sang when my mind would race
when I was cold, dressed me in a warm gown
who kept me on a straight and narrow path
He belongs to my heart
As I do to his
we married and never will part
a seed was found within me
My life is now complete
A discovery of worth was found
My family and life is concrete
Gods plan lead me to him
