When I was alive, I was despised,
the angry wolf with big bright eyes.
My past harsh as the winters snow,
why was I dealt such a bitter blow?
All I wanted; to be safe and secure,
instead I was swayed by the devils allure.
Touched by the power of gold and greed,
my words of wisdom please do heed.
Queen of Diamonds, Keeper of tales,
gambling with life, behind many veils.
A single guarded Revelation,
ensured my souls hellfire cremation.
Singing my song to holy ears,
confessing my sins to drown my fears.
Now I ascend the silvery stair,
to salvation which awaits me their.
Serendipity now sets the scene,
the ambience so calm and serene.
Gates of heaven flung open wide,
atop white horse my spirit doth ride.
Author notes
When I looked at the picture, I saw the woman as being someone who had lived a dangerous and criminal life. She was the wolf from the picture. Then she was killed and confessed her sins as as she could be redeemed in Heaven. Her spirit then became the horse. Hope that makes sense,

I really love the metaphoric journey that this poem takes the reader on.
I also love the inspiration you got from the picture prompt in this contest. The direction you have taken it is unusual, and very imaginative.
The rhyme in this is great! You have done really well to make it flow so well all the way through, and the narrative is wonderful throughout.
