Imagining life after death

The unexplainable noises that clip my ear  if only for a second
The odor of the remains of a body that reeks to high heaven
To break away from my surroundings and envision the life this person had
The words that we dare not say
For the person that is lying in front of me would take my place in a blink of an eye
To breathe in the crisp air the world holds
To look in the eyes of the people we love
Only seeing emptiness in the windows looking into their soul.
To see the world through someone else's eyes is

To live the moments that you will regret one day
Why live life being safe?
Why not do everything that feels right to you?
The people that question the choices of others are the ones that I don't like
One day we are all going to be this bug infested corpse that is lying right by my feet
The moon is starting to fade away as the night gives way to the day
But the corpse will remain in this spot even when day breaks
Can it be that this corpse has just been left here to rot away?
This would give the impression that the person who the body belongs to does not have a family
Pondering the reasons why anyone would still be breathing in the scorching odor of this corpse is beyond my understanding
Letting people in and seeing that they can help you to experience the amazing things life has to offer.
Learning all that you can before it is your turn to be buried in the ground and forgotten about.
