You can never forget your first kiss
Try as you may that thought is never missed
Mine was stolen in the halls of SHS
We call ourselves warriors because we can’t be anything else
But with that kiss was not the hunter but the prey
With that forceful kiss I will never forget that day
That first kiss opened this crazy door
And from that moment on all I wanted was more

And so years later at the years end
I kissed my boyfriend’s best friend
I don’t know who stole what from whom
But I knew it was the start of my doom
The thought of him couldn’t stay from my mind
And his lips is all I wanted to find
Late night dealings in the dark
Under the stars and in the park

I continue to think of him
Even as the earth grows dim
How can it be wrong when it is so right?
I sit pondering that fateful night
