The water caresses me from every side.
Watching the surface fade,
acknowledges me that relief will never come.
The burning in my throat
paralyzes me,
keeping me from trying to get to oxygen.
I can feel my body drifting deeper,
being sucked father down by the undertow.
As my vision fades to black,
and my chest explodes,
I silently disappear.
