Life Decisions

I'm stuck at a junction,
Another life decision,
Hanging in the balance,
Just out of my vision.

It doesn't matter which route I choose,
Or with whom, the path, I'll share,
The outcome for me is always the same,
I'll be on the road to nowhere.

One day I shall find myself,
Actually going some place,
Signs will be recognisable,
I'll be able to read your face.

Until that time arises,
I'll waste my steps and do,
Everything and anything,
So long as it's with you!

Sounds like insanity, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome.
We all seem to be ready to do anything for the one we love. Sometimes it pays off, oft times it breaks us. A very well written piece of poetry. Great take on the picture. Thank you for entering.

  • Sounds like that person is actually holding you back. You need the leap of faith to step out and be YOU. Nicely done and best of luck in the contest.

Many thanks for your comment.. she's not holding me back at all really, though sometimes I feel restricted. She's my baby girl, and with her comes more roads to choose between, and each one is worth it
