In life there are many treasures
but not many will you find,
I've been so very privileged
to find one so gentle and kind.
Dearest Cathy I'm so grateful
to have found a friend like you,
your softness falls like magic dust
as troubled souls you help renew.
Always ready with some words of hope
even when you've been down and out,
for helping others is your way
of that I have no doubt.
You gift of smiles and laughter
that sense of humour you often share,
such qualities these days you know
are rich and oh so rare.
But most of all your honesty
and open heart of grace,
these the treasures of our Daviscth
can never be replaced.
