Bureaucracy keeps getting in the way
Immigration laws won’t allow me to stay
Baby, I’ll be leaving you soon, I have no choice
Oh God, how I’ll miss your loving voice
Honey, don’t say a word, I see it in your eyes
I know how hard it will be to say our goodbyes
I know that we’ll be thousands of miles apart,
but darling, you will always be in my heart
Baby, I still want you to know
when my arms let you go
that you’ll move on but still love me
I guess this is the way it’s suppose to be
Just know that I’ll love you til death do us part
I hope that this will ease your aching heart
I still don’t know what I will do
when I’ll be missing you
I foresee the endless pains in my mind
On the day that I must leave you behind
I wish I could change things someway, somehow
But I’ll always cherish the day that we said our vows
This is a sad happening to an endless love,
but we must stay strong and pray to the heavens above
We have fought hard, a battle that we can’t win
Time heals all wounds, and I know that you’ll find love again
Baby, I won’t hold you back, I want you to find happiness
Soar high with your life and live life to it’s fullness
When you get lonely, look up at the stars in the endless skies
And please remember that true love never dies
Don’t fret, I shall never forget you
No one can possibly love you more than I do
As teardrops hit’s the ground, its not the ending
It’s just a new chapter in our lives, a new beginning
Baby, please don’t give up, it’s not all over
We may unite again before it’s all over
There is one thing for sure til the very end
I’ll always love you and you are my best friend

I'm not up on immigration laws presently.
I hope love can find a way.

full of heartache and despair. Love found and taken by laws that govern but will never govern heart. This piece allows one to feel the pain but also allows the reader to feel the love. Well done and best of luck to you in the contest and the new year
