Oh God! Without You

Oh God! without you I am just blind
Take my hand and lead me, help me along life's way
Open my eyes that I may clearly see
Your beauty every day

Open my ears that I may hear
Every word you speak
As I travel down this road
So lonely and so bleak

Let me hear the beauty
In every note the Robins sing
Let me hear the harmony
Of Church bells as they ring

Help me always to hear oh Lord
Your message every day
That I may do your every will
And thank you, this I pray

    This is just a beautiful poem. Oh I loved this prayer/poem and the true realities of life without the Lord. Help me see Lord and Let me hear Lord. I loved the imagery and rhyme. The soft flow to this was a pure joy to read. Thank you for sharing with me and best wishes in the contest.

    This is exquisitely penned, Katie; the metaphors are beautifully used with great flow and rhythm. I feel certain God is pleased, and I join you in agreement prayer.

      Thank you Denerica. I just love to hear the little birds sing. Some mornings when I'm up very early and just as the dawn comes up, I can hear them sing. It always brings a smile to my lips and sometimes a soft laugh.
