I knew it was one big mistake
When I realized the shit you were forced to take
Selfish intentions went unchecked
And now I'm the one paying for it in the end.
I never believed in karma,
But let me tell you now-- its a bitch
I've reopened each one of my wounds
I've torn out each seam, every stitch.
We're nothing short of messed-up cliché;
The more I need you, the more you fade away.
I never thought I'd stare in the mirror
Swearing that my soul was on the other side
I've spent too much time thinking about it
Now I'm afraid I have no where to hide.
We're nothing short of messed-up cliché;
The more I need you, the more you fade away.
Plaguing my thoughts
You walk among what I swore I won't miss
I'm a liar, and a theif
But you've managed to find the good in me.
Staring into myself won't help me now
Nor the lies I've told a hundred times before
The razor on the edge of the sink beside my heart
I knew I was wrong from the start.
So throw my heart in a box
And bury it next to the grave of our memories
For something so small,
It sure feels like its killing me.
We're nothing short of messed-up cliché;
The more I need you, the more you fade away.
The more you fade away, the more I love you.
Maybe your life ended a little to quickly.
Author notes
Again, don't take this seriously, everyone. This took me forever to come up with. I'm too happy to be writing the stupid shit.

i feel like this should be a song...if i had talent, i'd ask if i could borrow the poem and put music to it. but i don't, so you're saved the torture of my horrible music skills. hehehe love the poem though. it's really well written and very heart-felt.
