Even If I'm inept to give myself to you
what makes you assume, I wouldn't try?
Even if I'm in debt to give myself to you
What makes you assume that I would?
Because I wouldn't give myself
For something wasted
I wouldn't let myself eat
From something untasted
So I can tell you what I feel
I can even cry on your shoulder
But we both know
I've grown much older
Ive grow much wiser
I know much more
That's why I wont stop you from leaving
I wont stop you
from walking out of that door......

The wording in this piece makes it very lyrical. It has a very lilting flow that lends it very well towards that. It also has a very soft sadness to it that works and is very effective.
Good write.

No problem.
Poem Quote No.17 is:
“Do not sacrifice yourself
to suppression of sensations,
that will leave you cold,
like a sterile crucifixion,
drained, bloodless and inept,
adrift from the touch of elation.” – from ‘In Carnal Redemption’
Many thanks.
