Titleless

Why do they nag me so?
I always tell them no
I tell them maybe later
I tell them I will go.

If they are so eager
Shouldn't they go instead?
It's my life to live
And I shall do what I want.

Running is like flying
The fastest I've ever gone
The wind in my face
Jackson Browne in my ears.

If I had my own, I would go
But I hate talking to folks
It's as if they expect something from me
And all I do is say no.

Writing is like breathing
My first nature, yes it is
So I wish they'd stop pushing me
And I'll live my life the way I want.

Author notes

Sorry the rhyme scheme is so messy. Just had to get this out in words.

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
