I have stared at the clock for hours now
And the numbers stared back at me.
They blinked when I blinked and we watched time trickle away.
As I missed the deadline I set myself
To ease the guilt of intertia
The couch became comfortable.
But this motivation is like a stone
Perched upon a hilltop
And with time and wind and gravity,
It can begin to roll.
Applaud me
As my efforts take wing
And I manifest my desire in a serious effort
That only looks
like a piss break and instant oatmeal.

A very intriguing expression of thought here to ring in another toll of time's bell. Interesting imagery and thought throughout.Thank you for your entry!
