Reflection

The opulent moon
distant and unwavering;
reflects my own mood

Author notes

I tried to follow the haiku of Kobayashi Issa. The Accepted form of today's haiku is droll and repetitive to me

    "The opulent moon

    This is interesting.
    Well-expressed.

  • lovely haiku, well done! the one thing I found to be a bit awkward, was that mood and moon almost rhymed, but not quite, and you couldn't tell whether it was intentional or not. I think it would be better if they either obviously did or obviously didn't. That's it really though, I like it!

    I get the picture here, being distant and unwavering comes in handy at times.
