Identity

As I walked along the sea shore
an angel told me my true self
I was not a human being
I was a fairy princess

I was shocked, I had a whitehorse like no other
my guard was a wolf with the most dazzling eyes
his fur shone in the moonlit night like diamonds
the horse's mane was too great for human words

As I stared at the wolf's breath-taking eyes
and the horse's magnificent body
everything started to go away
I just knew it was too good to be true

I woke up in a hospital bed
my parents eyes were so unlike themselves
bubbling with worry, relief, and sadness
I asked them what happened, why was I here?

I had fallen off of a beautiful horse
there was a wolf with shining eyes next to me
and on this rainy day was a spot of light
as if an angel had fell with these gifts

The most spectacular gift given to me.
