An endless cycle of pursuit!

Happiness is only momentarily,
it seems to swim freely
on shallow surfaces
only to sank
in the deeper portions.
Imagine taking a long
journey on  a train,
a tour through six cities
only for the train to breakdown
by the fifth destination!
Its evasive, when it comes
you can only hope it last
longer than the previous visit.

Where does happiness live,
how can we contain it?
The search continues,
life's greatest quest-
can I not live within myself
or am I living through others?

Confidence has been disabled
beliefs are nothing but myths

things travel slowly but actually
rather quickly.

Happiness can only be smelled
but to taste it, is to lose it.
It's an endless cycle of pursuit
for something that is implanted deep within-

deep enough to only view and
see imitations, in fact so deep,
deep enough, or unable
to find the will long enough,
to explore at all.

    Wow

It may be endless but some day your true love will come your way.. this is why some many pursue it with the hope and faith that they find love....

happiness is like sand in a clenched hand it slowly falls through the cracks til there is just the tiniest reminder left - but then u just gota bend down and pick up another handful... i really like this poem hun its deep and thought provoking... if we had it all the time (happiness) just like anything else we would take it for granted...

    Happy New Year sweets.
