What is it all about? The neural pathways running through the brain.
The swift synapses? No I can't explain,
Those sudden moments when we start to doubt.
Did a creator set it all apace? And if one did,
Why waste perfection on the human race?
We think, we do. And then it all goes wrong. Well, am I coming through?
We mar the things we love. Oh God above,
And yet, the sky is blue.
Before me, a machine. We use it to make words. Well, you know what I mean.
They pop up on a screen. And then, like birds, they wing their way,
Into the ether. Or that is what they say.
And someone far, in small apartment, sitting on a train, or in a bar
Touches deft buttons on a laptop, now. And they read what I said,
I ask you, how?
What is the link, what goes on in the head ?
It makes you think.
Ah well, I need a drink.
What did you think

wow I really enjoyed this as well. I love how you jump back in for between that introspective, almost bemused view of the world and then to a more natural/ part of the world tone- "ah well, I need a drink."
that was brilliant, and honestly a great message to all of us who can't seem to keep our feet on the ground.

Perfection is wasted on most of us
but not all. I notice you have put this in the category 'hope' - that seems a good place to start... This has lots of charm.
So my bonny lad, what do you drink? A fine single malt? You choose and I'll pay!! x Debs

Don't worry. It's only a hot cup of tea and a glass of orange juice. Cheers!
