about the picture you sent me:
glass-glazed frost,
melted on your bathroom window
by early morning sun
to reveal a snow-covered
grid.
No. Nothing insignificant
about the minor detail of mortality
sticking to the wet.
Instead:
a very crucial reminder
that on this first day of a new year,
Sun cleared the view
on a frozen world
and horizon turned
fairy land ...
and Heaven.

Excellent is right! This is a beautiful gift as well. So full of hope and a refreshed view of life. The solstice is past and we are vaguely aware of the lengthening day . . . Spring is on it's way. Our internal clocks are ticking down the minutes and there is a new hope in our eyes.
Thank you!

Ahhh
I am very happy you like the photo, as well I believe the honesty of your words here. The truth of a small moment bringing clarity with renewal and release from frozen moments in our lives, is indeed nothing incidental or insignificant. Its the promise given to us all, in different moments, no matter how small.
All my love to you and yours on the dawn of our new year.

This
is such a beautiful write. The 'old' and the 'new', the 'passing' and the 'taking up' - but throughout the 'past' and 'future', there is 're-thought' - a blessing to 'turn around' and linger with soft tread into Life.
There is so much warmth in this write, a blessing to take with you into the year that is ahead of each of us.
Blessings to you my friend. I shall remember the both the 'glass-glazed frost' and the ... 'Sun cleared view', as on-going fulfilled promise.
