Just a crescent like any other
although brighter than the stars;
she could taste the universe
in just a single kiss.
The embrace of twilight
dancing on his skin
the masquerade of eternity
etched deep on their hearts.
She knew she couldn't back away
there was no escaping the midnight song
And then I saw you,
standing there with your blank stare
saying
"come here dollface
I'll take you to the moon"

Subtlely sneaking beauty
I mean that in the best possible way. From the flowing imagery to a sense of a real situation. It commands the reader to acknowledge the universal, while at the same time baring a personal touch that takes you off guard, but uplifts to the ethers of poetical revelry.
