Once upon a time, in a land close to here,
A evil mother beat her child, the Maiden, and filled her full of fear.
Then the person that the Maiden least expected to,
Rescued her, and helped her start her life anew.
The evil mother didn't suspect, but punished her nonetheless,
And when the Princess saw her bruises, the Maiden was filled with distress.
She made up a lie, one the Princess seemed to buy...
But when she truly was in distress, somehow she knew, on the Princess she could rely.
She took her trusty car to the Princess's modern castle, and collapsed upon the step,
And when she awoke, nothing could have prepared her for what was next, no amount of prep.
In the hospital, the Maiden did lie, due to the evil mother's beatings...
And on that very day, the Queen found out, of the Maiden's mistreating.
The Queen took the Maiden in, knowing of the blossoming relationship with the Princess.
And the Queen cared for the Maiden with amazing finesse.
She saved the Maiden from her evil mother, and dealt her own blows,
Together the Queen and Maiden worked to expose,
The evil mother, and her beatings and abuse,
Because when a parent beats their child, there is no excuse.
In the end, the Maiden got all that was due, and more,
Justice was served, and before her, opened a new door.
She suddenly was royalty,
And had real family.
She had the Princess, forever and a day,
A love that words cannot say.
The Maiden was now a Princess too, and got her fairytale her father promised long ago,
Because once in a while....love gives a fairytale, you know!
