Their eyes were traveling different roads,
not anticipating this detour
from their destination,
flashing lights and sudden stops
left both unprepared
for the cost to their hearts’ purchases,
receipt for the unplanned event,
came as a new life into the world.
But love’s
expense accounts
accepts unexpected expenses,
even if they are wrapped i
in maternity ward blankets blue or pink,
seen as a source of surprise,
something that turns into joy,
instead of an unimportant moment
needed to be abandoned.
