In Remembrance

Missing image

Oh, weary brilliance of sun!

piercing sorrow to my core,

spreading grief to its depths,

in memories of yesterday -

everything about her:

the laughter, song,

and dance of death -

before she slipped away;

in her shadow, I wait

as time gathers its fold.

    This one makes me to shiver. So simple, heartfelt and deep feelings of love and memories that never lingers. It always looks like it was only yesterday. Beautiful picture.

      My mother passed away in '03, but it seems just like yesterday she was singing and playing her piano. I appreciate your stopping in to read my poem today. Happy New Year to You and Yours!! Peace always, xx Cyn

    Roses are red,
    until the day of their blossom is drawn.

    Yet their buds find new grounds,
    look in your grand children's eyes, your Mother lives on!
