a Little Angel Girl

  there was a woman that came to me
like an angel is like what she seemed
with a halo and wings to see
she had a funny little braid, but she wasn't dead
she merely lost herself in a game of whats to say
she was a kind and trustworthy friend
someone that was used again and again
but she didn't mind
....
she simply smiled and said
ill be fine

her wings were free, but she didn't too happy with what id seen
they'd use her for all their means
she'd put up with it 'cause she was scared to be left
and she seemed so damn lonely

but i....held my head high
i said, hey little angel would you mind
I've got so much to talk to you about
i feel like I've my mind
and all she really did
....
was smile

i told her things that were on my mind
not 'cause she was purer than mine
just for the fact she was so strong
but at the same i was so wrong
see, she never liked 'cause people pain
she merely wanted to make peoples day
she stoke with her 'friends' through the hard times
but she kept all those secrets for her own mind
she looked lost and lonely...to my eyes
and i suppose that's what freed the souls
its the fact that
her story's been told

it seems now, we've grown apart
the angels left for her her own heart
hope she finds what she's looking for
'cause i wanted to return the favor that i adored
i wanted to say, its okay
and smile

it was a cold day, she seemed lost and found her way,
but i was left behind, and i felt so cold
and then an angel smiled and said
do you mind,
i got a lot of free time
you looked lonely so i'd thought it was time
to free yourself and find
exactly what you're looking for
and i smiled
i said sure hon, i got a while


i......found what was mine,
and the little angels told me
i could... still be me
i just had to have faith in these
it was such a simple thing, but its was worth its wild to me
i wasn't alone anymore

i visit those little angels...all the time
and they always laugh and free their life
they say, they were happy they met me
they'll remember and treasure
i made them happy
and then i asked,
what exactly was i looking for
i suppose it wasn't a lover,
i suppose it wasn't a mother
i suppose, it was just a friend

i didn't find what i was looking for

i found something i'd always had

it was just a matter of...where they were

so happy i met that angle girl
