I followed you,
fell across each pillow wrestling-quick
like stepping stones:
you could not decide which one
to land on.
so superglued baby birds
to your back, eversoft
compared to the way you kiss me -
oh, I think,
I could lay here
until the pale green
signals closed eyelids.

I don't think this is cheesy at all, it's actually rather good and has a unique way of putting the sentiments together (which is great). A good piece of poetry
