Melancholy love,
Hindered inside her mind.
His lips, pressing against anothers
Was her only thought.
Enough tears, this was it.
She disposed his things,
And celebrated the new year,
Alone.

Aww Jax, this is so emotional
but expressed very beautifully..
the ending really got me,
tugged at my heartstrings (yes jackie, even though i pick on ya i DO have a heart!! and i do love ya froglegs) =]
anyways this was a little masterpiece
keep up the good work & don't worry..
it's HIS loss, not yours.. you are way too
good for him.

such a sad way to spend a new year
if only things could have turned out better

a very honest and fresh look at the prompt. You tell a whole story with your simple choice in words and you captivate your audience rather well. I am impressed! Keep writing fellow poet friend!
