I Am Alone In This

Do you remember me?
I am that woman you once fell
in love with.

The one you use to adore
and the one you use to look in the eye's
and could not look away.

The one you use to touch
and put your arms around all night long
and oh how I knew I was loved.

I am still here and you have
faded away, making me feel as though
I never existed in your world.

Is this the way love is the absence
of one's heart?
Leaving only one to feel what they
have aways felt.

Leaving only one to feel the pain

Please tell me what you think

    SO VERY SAD!!!!

It is so sad that so many relationships end up this exact same way I often wonder just what has happened to our society today. It seems people have lost all compassion towards each other and now only see their own feelings.

Technical stuff first: please check the second word in the next to last line and see if you want to put an “ l “ in it.
It’s a lot easier on the reader if there is a question mark after a question.
I have used “use” as you did here but it didn’t look quite right so I looked it up on Dictionary.com. Looks like what we should have been saying is, “the one you used to adore” etc.

    9. to be accustomed, wont, or customarily found (used with an infinitive expressed or understood, and, except in archaic use, now only in the past): He used to go every day.

    6. habitually do something (use only in the past tense); "She used to call her mother every week but now she calls only occasionally"; "I used to get sick when I ate in that dining hall"; "They used to vacation in the Bahamas"

It is a crying shame when two people grow apart for whatever reason. Every now and then – for example – a man will divorce his wife of many years (because **the thrill was gone** ) and marry a younger woman only to find that any long time relationship won’t sparkle all the time. There does come a time for normal people when passion will cool somewhat. Unless there is love to fall back on, the situation is in trouble.
You don’t give a reason for “the cooling”. The character probably doesn’t even know why it happens. I mean, who does? You portray it effectively and I can feel the pain.

Oh how I see more and more people who feel like this as I meet different people It is sad indeed that devotion and true love is almost bygone in this day and age!
