first time I missed the mark
by wide margin,
I didn't feel the bow
arrow sitting on string.
I simply released it
everything imperfect,
arrow didn't hit the board
let alone bulls eye.
with every try
my attention closed on mark;
wavering fingers
turned steady,
I learned right stringing,
closing the gap in each step.
success lies in conscious effort
reaching a stage
where you can give right blow
at right time,
that comes coping with setbacks
failure is but one rise
in a series, of a staircase,
ultimately leading to terrace.
