As you step into the future...
May the wind always be at your back and the sun warm on your face.
May your sorrows be few and your joys be many
May you always have the love of family and friends to share them all
May fear be your friend when you step into the unknown
May the paths that you blaze be traveled by many
May the bridges you build be high enough to reach the stars and kiss the moon
Yet low enough to smell the flowers or touch the tear of a child
May it open enough to see where you are going
Yet long enough to see how far you have come
May it be narrow enough when you need to travel it alone
Yet wide enough to let love travel with you
May it provide shelter should you need rest and protection from the elements of life
May it last a life time should you need to come home.
And when you come upon a crack in your bridge,
may you not step over it or pass it by. But see the light that passes through it. Peer through the crack understanding that it is not an imperfection but a time to look through it, see another point of view and build upon it. The legacy isn't the bridge you built, but the moments you stopped to fill the cracks with your heart and soul. These are the moments that we are drawn to, the moments you stopped to make it a better place to be. This is what makes a bridge well traveled and lasting.

Yet wide enough to let love through. This is my most favorite line. Like you said to look at this in and around, to get a different perspective. This was a pleasurable read.

I have crossed many bridges in my fifty-four years of life. I sit in favor by the God of all creation and the blessings rain down from an overfilled heaven, always. Your poem is filled with the joys of life and an evermore essence of hope. Thank you for your well wishes dear sister/friend. I also thank God for people like you, who easily raise the height of the bridge, and lowers that same bridge to meet all the wonders grounded and rooted with love.
The beauty of this poetry makes me sigh and it also causes me to take this day and use it with efforts that create the good, the right, and what the world needs to grab hold to.
Beautiful sentiments are written here dear Michelle!
All My Love & Happy New Year! ♥
Always
Renee

Wow!
Hey girl! This is the first I've read of your poetry in awhile, and I'm blown smooth away! What beautiful sentiments! (What are you...a poet by day, and philosopher by night? lol) This was just awesome! There were so many incredible truths throughout this beautiful piece. This is something that I think I'd want to frame, and hang on a wall in a prominent place. Fabulous work, girl! Major great job!

This is a philosophy we all should embrace with open arms. My world is a much better place because of bridges you built that we crossed hand in hand.

Dear Eva,
"May the wind always be at your back and the sun warm on your face." May your bridges be sturdy and healthy and their span long and full of satisfaction. May they lead from
cold to warmth and may you find love at the end of each one.
Your poem spans some well thought hopes which I hope will be fulfilled for you in this New Year.
Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hans.
