A tremendous effort made
to achieve an ultimate goal
finding out the door is closed
rocks me to my very soul
Huge financial investment
in a future of my dreams
all to crumble before my eyes
in a mind that now screams
Much knowledge has been gained
but the timing was not right
the future may tell another story
sadly addressing my plight
One has to count his losses
there is a point called nonsense
when all the words come tumbling down
I have little to say in self defense
I believe in what I do as true
it all flows from the heart and mind
perhaps this world is not ready
or perhaps I am a visionary blind
