When you were in hospital
because of your stroke
i thought you'd get through it
i thought you'd be able to cope.
When the doctors told us,
you would now sleep forever
i burst in to tears at the thought
we could no longer be together.
I miss you so very much
i miss your pretty face
i try to cope by thinking
your in a much better place.
I miss your smile
and i miss your company
how you were always there
when you needed to be.
I still cry about you sometimes
wishing you were here but
in my heart i will hold you close
and i'll always hold you dear.
I still cant believe you've gone
you've left me forever
i'll never see you again and
we can never be together.

this is about my great grandma...she had 3 strokes and passed away after her 3rd one :'( i miss her so much...hope its okay for the contest xx

I'm sorry to hear about your Great Grandma; it sounds like you miss her an awful amount - death is never easy
You wrote her a wonderful in memory ode here though, my absolute favourite part was,
"I still cry about you sometimes
wishing you were here but
in my heart i will hold you close
and i'll always hold you dear."
Because that's how we all feel after people pass away, isn't it? But you worded it so eloquently here - very craftily done!

It is so hard to give up our loved ones even though they may be in a better place we still want to hang on to them. Sometimes it helps us to express our grief so we don't hold it in and become bitter. You did a great job writting this.
