December Warmth

One week's warmth is all I have.
Each year's bloom seems shorter still.
Many pass, but one girl smiles.
Only one may ever pause.
Only one may ever see.
One moment, a fragrant memory.
All I need, a Lillac in December.

Oooh yeah well... December certainly isn't warm over here in England.

Very nicely done -- especially if you are still up north -- it is 6 degrees F. here in MN -- your poem brings a bit of warmth, and lilacs are my favorite flower!
