Marie C. Gross

She was my Grandmother always kind
Red haired and quite fiery, never dry
Personality and persona to light a match
She was 97, but not a year over that...
She looked better than most people at 50

She worked hard all of her wonderful life
Nursing, taking care of eight kids, and more
Scandinavian farmer girl turned city woman
But I will always remember her as "Grandma"

Marie C. Gross is in my heart and if I could've
saved her she never would've died, because
deep down I will always wish she were alive.

Author notes

My Grandmother was buried today...this is a bit of tribute to her!
