Good Mother, I am Fairy Gentle Earth
and visit you this day of new beginning.
I lay these flowers at your lovely feet
and weave a lily garland for your head.
Please, Mother, do touch me with your rapture
and I shall carry it away with me
and spread it throughout all the sleeping lands
where living things need your nurture of love.
Smile, good Mother, and I shall spread it forth
with sweet showers and rainbows for children,
and blossoms that bless the land with fine fruit
for all the hungry ones in ev'ry land.
Good Mother, I am Fairy Gentle Earth
who loves your generous heart and good soul...
I see your face and feel your touch with joy.
Please send me forth with a mother's blessing.

Oh my word this is wonderful. There is so much lovely energy in this poem almost a prayer.
Good luck in the contest.

One of the most lovely nature poems I've ever read.
A touch of enchantment and pure goodness flowing throughout.
