The bag of gold next to the mattress of money
had more spring in it than last year.
The gold lay sleeping silently
managed by the bed bank.
Under his eyes were glints
of silver, she counted out his silver
coins in-front of him before
she wrapped him up in his
safe money belt which
he wore around his waist.
She said if that belt was black you'd
look like santa, well since it isn't
and you shaved this morning
I'll let you of. So go, go about
your business and play.
Just keep an eye on
your money tonight.

a very whimsical write that seems almost fairy-taleish, with its warning. I like the details of how the paunch of the money belt makes him look like the Old Elf, Santa, and think it's funny that you wrote this before I cast the elf, since I rolled all the dice and did the predictions before looking at the entries.

Hi and welcome to the party. The bag of gold was already taken but since your entry closed the contest, I shall take the last remaining charm, which is the champagne bottle, and uncork it in your honor.
It has been recast as a:
ELF, meaning = playfully and marveling fully, you can meet the new year. There will be many surprises, that enrich your life.
Hope you have a great new year!
