The memories, slice through her soul
puncturing her heart, she pleads for mercy
as her blood drains onto the just polished,
hardwood floors
She loved with the unconditional spirit of innocents
and like every memory had to stand on its own
cherishing every moment of their lives together,
with the notion of forever
She loved with a pieced together heart, not whole
still she gave like she had nothing to lose
and even though her life ended, as his began
she gave him, her very last breath
giving to a fault....

So very painful and yet so very easy to read and relate to.
Your words suck all the breath from my lungs, as the need from others do from yours when you give it all.

Forever is such a long time. I don't know of anything human or anything that breathes air that lasts that long as forever. Now, LOVE... that might last for the eternity you speak of so eloquently. The sadness of this writ is overwhelming. I can feel every emotion that brings us to a sunken place. The last line makes me know the commitment.
This is a surreal work of poetry that deals with the reality of life, and love. Beautifully penned dear sister/friend. Effortlessly crafted poetry, with a sincere sense of knowing.
Much Love Always ♥

You write sad poems, and write them well, which is bad, because well written sad poems usually have a great deal of truth.
Now, you can be quite funny, I know you've made me laugh a lot these last days...I just wonder if you don't feel like writing a silly poem about Paris
