The notes they call his fingertips
To each key as he plays
There is no transcript of this tune
Notes hold him in a daze
Never has this song been heard
It’s the piano’s sigh
And building tempo sweet and pure
Enough to make him cry
He’s got no lyrics in his mind
The music is too pure
And as his fingers fly across
The keys, they demand more
For this is not the tune of man
Not that of sea or earth
It is the truest of its form
It’s the pianos birth
After slowly piece by piece
Its body has been made
The piano finds its voice
Demanding it be played
His fingers slow, tune dying down
Piano’s said its piece
My voice is pure for all to hear
Till next my song will cease
To each key as he plays
There is no transcript of this tune
Notes hold him in a daze
Never has this song been heard
It’s the piano’s sigh
And building tempo sweet and pure
Enough to make him cry
He’s got no lyrics in his mind
The music is too pure
And as his fingers fly across
The keys, they demand more
For this is not the tune of man
Not that of sea or earth
It is the truest of its form
It’s the pianos birth
After slowly piece by piece
Its body has been made
The piano finds its voice
Demanding it be played
His fingers slow, tune dying down
Piano’s said its piece
My voice is pure for all to hear
Till next my song will cease

Nice
Its pretty good.
I can practically hear the music coming out of the computer!! But I would have to say this is a little different from what I usually read, but I think you did a good job! Thanks for entering and I wish you Good Luck!

I love this. I'm speechless, I don't even know what to say. I'm not even going to wish you good luck with this in the contest, because I'm nearly positive it will win something. Absolutely amazing.

Thank you SO MUCH for the gold! You said you wanted something about music as there isn't enough written about the subject so this one was just for you!
P.S.
I'm not a musician I just imagined how the piano would feel.

Thank you SO much for your comments! I get alot of "I like it" or "I can relate" to my poetry but rarely a "wow". I was trying for something a little different from my usual stuff. I guess I succeeded?!
ps.. you could recommend it for spotlight!?
