There once was a lawyer named Roger,
Who was a cranky and crusty old codger;
    But while practicing law,
    He coached his son in baseball;
And his son became a Brooklyn Dodger.

    I'm sure the son made more money playing
    pro baseball than Roger made being a
    lawyer. Sometimes you just have to stretch
    it to make a poem.
