Land of much diversity,
cradle of civilization
Wealth unimaginable
raped by many nations
People of many hued skins
striving to eke out a living
Those in power live high on the hog
while many die daily in sod

Author notes
When I watch travelogues & see the many natural wonders of Africa I'm so saddened by what goes on in that Continent that's so devastating!

Wonderful! I, too, hate the thought of what plagues Africa. But I am drawn by the natural beauty of many of the countries there. Good job with this. Write on, poet.
