Whispering sweet nothings
Into my ear
You know temptation
Might just be too hard to fight
For once in my life
The opinions of those
Who care the most in my life
Don’t matter
And instead of repeating
The question
“Why do I want him?”
Over and over in my head
I just go with the flow
And leaning in for a kiss
He takes my breath away
And I feel my heart beating faster and faster
To them
It’s all about being sensible
And doing the right thing
To me, it’s the thrill of the game.

This had a very interesting, and somewhat risque, message. Though it was a bit choppy in places, I think it added to the whole atmosphere and meaning to the poem.
"To them
It’s all about being sensible
And doing the right thing
To me, it’s the thrill of the game. "
The last line was definitely a punch, and you did the title much justice. Great job! Thanks for entering, and best of luck!
